Due to the technical conditions of the customer, a direct migration from the existing cluster to the new cluster is not possible. For this reason, a node of the existing cluster is removed during this migration, a local SQL server is created on it and the original SQL server on the cluster is migrated to this local SQL server. This in the form of a pre-migration. The new cluster is then created and the databases of the local SQL server are then migrated to this cluster. The reason for this procedure lies in the use of the SUN, which are decisive for the fact that the old cluster environment can no longer be accessed after the cluster has been migrated.
